ZOIS EFSTATHIOU, was founded in 1946, and since then, enjoys a long, brilliant, and successful journey in the yacht industry.

It was established in the Greek market with the exclusive distributorship of MERCURY outboard engines, while in 2022, it celebrates 40 fruitful years of continuous and valuable cooperation with MERCURY MARINE. This important event paved the path for the propelling and equipping operational vessels, setting ZOIS EFSTATHIOU as the most well-known and recognized supplier of the Coast Guard, the Army & the Special Forces.

At the beginning of 2014, it also started a successful and amazing course with HYUNDAI SEASALL, ensuring the exclusive distribution of the inboard and sterndrive engines of the Korean factory, while very recently, in 2019, it took over one more important brand: the British COX POWERTRAIN, manufacturer of the outboard diesel CXO 300. And the journey goes on…

Along with the engines, ZOIS EFSTATHIOU maintains exclusive strong and constructive collaborations dating back to 1976. Among them, the famous brands of ULTRAFLEX, WHALE, POYFORM, VICTRON ENERGY, BOB MACHINE, VITRIFRIGO, MASE, OPACMARE, ATTWOOD, QUICKSILVER, LENCO, MARINCO, OSCULATI, TRIM LOK, VIGOUROUX etc.

The whole team of ZOIS EFSTATHIOU operates as a large family that puts the customer at the center of every effort, aiming at its vertical service. OUR MILESTONES

1946

In 1946, Zois Efstathiou Sr. opens his first industrial product store in Aristidou Street, in Piraeus. However, this store, thanks to its location, was quickly extended to the nautical equipment of merchant ships, satisfying the needs of that time.

1970

In 1970, Zois Efstathiou begins to discover the new emerging market in the field of yacht equipment and accessories, moving to the heart of Piraeus harbor at Akti Tzelepis 4. With the contribution of the young and brilliant, Dimitris Efstathiou, the first yacht accessories are slowly entering the shelves of the company. At the same time, Callegari inflatable boats offer to Zois Efstathiou the opportunity to become the relevant major supplier to the Armed Forces.

1982

In October 1982, the company undertakes the exclusive distributorship of MERCURY outboards, and this is the starting point of a 40-year successful partnership that as the time passes, it becomes stronger and stronger.

1996

In April 1996, Akti Tzelepis becomes a thing of the past, as the company moves to its privately owned premises at 57 Poseidonos Avenue, in Moschato.

2000

2000 is the millennium year. The new millennium begins dynamically with the first eight years finding ZOIS EFSTATHIOU in a steady development course reaching its apogee.

2008

2008 is the turning point of the Greek economy since the financial crisis does not leave any market unscathed. But this is also the trigger for the company to reorganize and return dynamically, charting a new upward trend. In the same year, it is expanding its territory and appointed by Mercury as the exclusive Area distributor for North Macedonia.

THE STORY GOES ON

In 2009, Dimitris Efstathiou hands over the company’s “steering wheel” to his son, Zois Efstathiou Jr., who brings new breath, “inaugurating” the new era of the company’s leadership. With vision, strategic objectives, and high work ethics, ZOIS EFSTATHIOU SA continues its long and successful course, maintaining the first place in the industry and enjoying continuous growth.
In 2010, counting already 64 years of long history, ZOIS EFSTATHIOU strengthens the trust of suppliers and partners and overturns one step against the recession, focusing on personal relationships and the consistency that has always characterized it.
In 2012, during the Greek economic crisis, it gains the largest overall market share in outboard engines, reaching 33,8%. Since then – for 10 consecutive years now- ZOIS EFSTATHIOU with Mercury is the market leader in the market, maintaining 80% market share in the 300 Hp and up engines category while, at the same time, seven out of ten Greek shipyards trust Mercury for the propulsion of its vessels, boats, and yachts.
In 2013, Zois Efstathiou further expands its territory, by undertaking the Albanian market and appointed as the exclusive distributor of Mercury outboards and related products for the entire country, aiming at developing the forgotten marine spirit of Albanians.
At the beginning of 2014, ZOIS EFSTATHIOU starts its exclusive collaboration with Hyundai Seasall, thus entering the field of diesel inboard engines.
In 2019, Zois Efstathiou signs the distribution of the British COX Powertrain outboard diesel engines.
In 2020 ZOIS EFSTATHIOU SA launches a new chapter in its course: new corporate identity, same vision – new era, same values. Through modern lines, fresh ideas and more than 100 after sales support spots throughout Greece, it proceeds with the same values and the huge history that bears its name. A new journey begins but the destination remains the same: Love & passion for the sea, yachts, and boats!
